Although this river is great for all skill levels some people just love that extra sense of security that a guide brings to your river experience.  Spend the day enjoying the river with one of our knowledgeable staff guiding you along the way.  Whether it’s by paddle boat or oar frame our friendly staff will make your day on the Lower Stan an enjoyable one.  A Deli Style lunch is included unless you request to bring your own.

If you have a large group we can send a kayak guide who will lead and follow your group down the river.  Many boy and girls scout groups love this option, especially for the first time boaters.  All of our guides are first aid and cpr trained and have years of experience on the water.

Check in at the Knights Ferry Rafting Customers Parking Area.  On weekends look for the red River Journey Tent.  On weekdays look for us by the yellow rafts by the river.

10:15AM - After gearing up for the trip and a brief orientation from your guide you will board the rafts at the Knights Ferry Visitor's center. Our guides will prepare the equipment and begin a safety talk for all participants.

10:30AM - Trip departs on river. The first half mile serves as a nice warm-up with several fun riffles. You'll then come to "Russian Rapid" a 50 yard long class 2 rapid that is the biggest thrill of the day. Smile for your photos! After running this rapid you'll come across a few calm pools with clear water and stunning scenery.

11:30PM Lunch - Stop at Horseshoe Bend Park to rest and have your lunch.  Our guides will set up your deli style lunch.

12:30PM - You'll head downstream into another scenic section of the trip.

2:30PM - Take-out and a short ride back to your car. During weekend dates you receive a free photo that can be found on our River Journey Facebook Page.  We also have other photos available for purchase at the River Journey Store in Knights Ferry.  Come by after your trip and enjoy and ice cream while you purchase other photos and river souvenirs.   Our lower Stanislaus trips usually provide lots of good stories and memories for our guests!
